Job Description:
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for a Computer Deployment Specialist to support a campus-wide project to replace all non-Windows 11 compatible computers by Fall 2025. This is a large project with a tight timeline. Faculty, staff, conference room, classroom, and research lab computers will be replaced.

The successful candidate will be assigned to the Field Support (FSG) Deployment Group, which will work as a specialized team to deploy all new computers quickly and efficiently. The FSG Deployment Group will support the preparation and deployment/installation of new computers, including installing software, setting up peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.), and removing and securely disposing of old computers. The FSG Deployment Group will deploy computers across three campus locations as appointments and rooms are scheduled with faculty and staff.

This position reports to the FSG Deployment Group Supervisor. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively under challenging circumstances. They must also be able to complete work within scheduled time constraints. Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications is required. The candidate must also be able to work independently and as a member of a team.

The successful candidate must be able to anticipate and support customers with a wide range of technological expertise. This work requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to follow pre-defined processes and workflows to ensure standardization, and the ability to balance both the technical and basic functional expectations of the position.

Primary responsibilities:
As a member of the FSG Deployment Group, follow and assist with pre-defined processes and workflows as assigned, including:

• Activities to support new computer deliveries and maintenance of storage and work areas.
• Configure computers and run OS deployment.
• Accurately update machine and person data in Active Directory and the appropriate inventory, reporting, project, and management tools. 
• Prepare computers for daily delivery and deployment to designated offices, classrooms, conference rooms, or designated staging areas.
• Deploy and set up new computers in faculty and staff offices, conference rooms, classrooms, and research labs.
• Install titles from the Software Catalog or Software Portfolio on faculty or staff computers.
• Install peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.)-may require installing drivers or adding to a printer queue.
• Resolve or report for further action any remaining questions or issues as requested by a customer or noted during computer setup.
• Remove old computers by returning them to the designated location and prepare them for secure disposal.
• Complete work within scheduled time constraints and maintain a good working schedule that allows work and daily responsibilities to be completed as scheduled. 

Other responsibilities, as assigned:

• Receive, assist, diagnose, document, and resolve incidents, service requests, or assigned project tasks in faculty/staff offices, classrooms, conference rooms, and research labs located across three campuses using a variety of modes of support (including conferencing tools, in person, or both) following all prescribed workflows and pre-defined processes.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

• One year of experience supporting, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computers and peripherals, working directly with customers.
• Working knowledge of common desktop and mobile devices, operating systems (Windows, macOS), productivity applications software (i.e., Microsoft Office), and conferencing tools such as Zoom or Teams.
• Shows ability to be self-motivated and work independently and within a team structure.
• Demonstrated ability to work with customers with varying levels of computer expertise, from beginner to advanced users.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

As a Foster Clinician, you will provide clinical services to children in foster care and support foster families, and families within the foster care system. As a Licensed Clinical Community Service Providers, you will provide Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS). These mental health services available with New York State Children's Medicaid program, give children (up to age 21) and their families the power to improve their health, well-being and quality of life. Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of youth and families struggling with behavioral health issues? Do you want to develop and supervise your own team and mentor your staff to improve their clinical skills? As the Team Lead of Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI), you will provide clinical supervision, support, and mentorship to your team to help them change lives. The HBCI team provides short-term (up to 6 weeks), intensive intervention to youth and families who are in crisis. We work with parents and caregivers to help them help their children. The short-term format means the work is fast-paced and outcome oriented, which means you and your team will produce meaningful outcomes in a short period of time. You will report to the Chief of Crisis Services and work on-site with travel required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical supervision to the team and be responsible for allocation of staff time; provide training and ensure all team members are kept informed of issues.
• Monitor caseload size and coordinate program intakes and discharges.
• Create rotating call schedule for after-hours / weekend coverage by team members.
• Provide education and outreach to the community about HBCI at Northern Rivers; philosophy, program outcomes, theoretical background etc.
• Develop collaborative relationships with other agencies, schools, hospitals, primary care providers, and local government agencies to help meet the needs of this population so they can achieve and maintain their independence.
• Assist primary clinicians to conduct needs assessments, safety planning and wellness management planning with participants. Connect participants and families with the services and support they need. Provide psychoeducation regarding mental health diagnosis and treatment. Develop treatment using a shared decision-making process with clients.
• Assist primary clinicians to respond to on-call needs of families in crisis and deliver crisis intervention services in home-based environment with flexible scheduling cognizant of family needs, with 24/7 availability nights, weekends and holidays.
• Promote safety of the child, family, and community in the delivery of crisis intervention services.
• Assist primary clinicians to conduct comprehensive assessment of family strengths, values, skills, problems, need and barriers to goal attainment while developing a positive working relationship with the families.
• Collaborate and advocate with formal and information community resources and systems that impact family while teaching family members to advocate for themselves and prepare them for transition and service closure.

Requirements and Education:

• Requires a Master’s degree and at least one year of progressively responsible related experience. Experience in a home-based and/or crisis intervention services program. Candidates with training in the Homebuilder model of crisis intervention are preferred.

As a Licensed Clinical Community Service Providers, you will provide Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS). These mental health services available with New York State Children's Medicaid program, give children (up to age 21) and their families the power to improve their health, well-being and quality of life. This program is intended to offer opportunities to better meet the behavioral health needs of children early on and to prevent the onset or progression of behavioral health conditions. These services strengthen children and their families, and help them to make informed decisions about their care and are provided either at home or in the community. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor and you will work remote/hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Provide Home and Community-based Assessments, counseling, and treatment planning to children and their care givers.
• In Person, in the home, community-based, in office and telehealth to meet the needs of our clients.
• Complete an assessment of needs and recommendations for further medically necessary services, such as rehabilitation services. Services are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
• Work with family members, advocates and other salient parties to identify goals of treatment. Provide observations and information to collateral contacts for the purpose of the progress and tracking of the Treatment Plan goals.
• Complete all required documentation for submission to the Supervisor within the required timeframes.

Requirements and Education

• Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• 1 year of related experience.
• NYS Professional Licensure/Limited Permit - LMFT, LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, and LCAT.
• NYS drivers license with a reliable vehicle, as work requires up to 50% community travel/client home visits.

Works closely with Teachers in the management of a preschool classroom by providing quality care to ages 3-5 in accordance with Agency philosophy, program performance standards and curriculum guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use daily routines and observations to meet the strengths and needs of children
• Work as a team member to facilitate the programs curriculum, procedures and philosophy.
• Assist in the implementation of weekly program plans as needed.

As a Foster Clinician, you will provide clinical services to children in foster care and support foster families, and families within the foster care system. The Therapeutic Foster Family Program provides foster and pre-adoptive foster homes for abused and neglected children from birth through age 21. Each foster parent receives intensive training and ongoing professional support to promote a positive, successful experience. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, treatment planning and general counseling for children in foster care.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and families, when needed
• Conduct specialized risk assessments
• Consult with other staff involved in the care of the child and families
• Attend all case related meetings (Counsel on Special Education, Termination of Parental Rights, staff meetings, service provider meetings, emergency meetings, court), for cases they are serving
• Participate in formal and informal supervision.
• Meet regularly in the community regarding cases they are seeing for general counseling.
• Have regular communication/meeting with birth families around progress/problems of children in care and how to support them in and work towards permanency.
• Provide regular case documentation for all children and families on workload including assessments, progress notes, Family Service Plan, etc.

Requirements and Education:

• Requires a Master’s degree in counseling with related experience.
• Limited permit is required; professional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT) preferred.

As a Greenhouse Coordinator, you will development and implementation of the botanical classroom instructional plans for students. You will report to the Transition Learning Coordinator and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Provide subject area instruction (Green house and plan based botanical) that provides students with appropriate level lessons and age experiences.
• Develop and implement instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels grades 8 -12.
• Provide leadership in the school for promoting green house and gardening activities and experiences for students. Work with teachers to encourage classroom, small group, and individual activities, projects, and events.
• Coordinate the selection, ordering, and management of materials and equipment for the greenhouse and greenhouse related activities in conjunction with the school principal.
• Collect and organize program data for grant proposals and reports and assists in writing grants.
• Assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques with appropriate; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
• Represent the greenhouse and gardens at relevant conferences, community events andnetworking opportunities. Conduct workshops, tastings, classroom activities and garden clubs.
• Manage and coordinate the safety and well-being of students through the use of established classroom and schoolwide processes and procedures; supervise classroom staff in implementing these with their work with students throughout the building.
• Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
• Establish relationships with parents and family members to create a partnership around student treatment, student behavior, and academic progress.
• Participate in classroom grade level, and behavior/treatment meetings as well as professional training and development sessions (e.g. TCI, CPR, emergency procedures and other agency requirements.
• Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
• Facilitate partnership between the greenhouse activities and gardens through home and school education programs by coordinating community workshops, recruiting home garden volunteers.
• Work with other teachers, clinicians, administrators, medical staff and other school staff to provide integrated support, assistance, and treatment to students.
• Assist with supervision of school-to-work program activities as needed.

Requirements and Education:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or other related field with experience with greenhouse operation.
• Prefer experience teaching in a greenhouse environment.
